About

Astute Media partners with the best in the industry – Starcom and Purple Cow. The reason  for this is the ever increasing need for a total media offering. We take direction from International research – insights into how consumers perceive media messages.

We know that consumers utilise media to gather information. In todays world, you cannot rely solely on traditional media. Traditional media (TV, radio, magazines, newspapers) serve to stimulate interest. The buying process then involves a lot more. Consumers with a piqued interest from traditional media now look to gather more information. This is done via internet media.

Consumers do not rely on one source of message. The process begins with your providing a message unsolicited e.g. on TV. The consumer then begins the process of gathering information to ensure they are going to get the best product at the best price. This process involves, web sites, social media e.g facebook ( asking friends what they think).

Accordingly, astute media are geared to looking and advising at the total communications channel.

I believe in a total media approach i.e. everything from traditional media to mobile and new media. However, today’s media thinking must encompass a total communication solution meaning a media planner needs to look further to ambient, in store and even a clients waiting room.
